Sun Peaks is a favourite family resort located in British Columbia, Canada. Now visitors have even more reasons to go, with the announcement that a brand new, high speed detachable quad chairlift will open in the alpine for the 2024-25 winter season.
The new chairlift will be known as the ‘West Bowl Express’ and is a CAD$12 million investment that is sure to enhance the skier and snowboarder experience. The lift will improve access to the West Bowl area of Mount Tod. Construction has already commenced, with the final installation planned for Fall 2024 in time for the 24-25 Sun Peaks Ski season.
The West Bowl Express will build on the recent additions including the Orient Chairlift, and new Crystal Chairlift, and become the third chairlift opened in a six year period, rivalling any resort worldwide in the ‘new chairlift’ development stakes.
