Tomamu is located in central Hokkaido, just 90 minutes from Sapporo. It is a fantastic resort for families with everything from an abundance of family friendly rooms to facilities just for kids in mind. More formerly known as 'Hoshino Resort Tomamu' it is a large scale resort area spreading over the southern slopes of Mt Tomamu.

The mountain has 28 runs and 6 lifts, with a good range of beginner, intermediate and advanced terrain. The new Express quad transports skiers from half way up the mountain to the summit in just under 7.5 minutes. Tomamu has recently introduced dedicated powder areas where grooming is taboo, they have extended the family and kids area (Adventure Mountain), as well as increasing the services of the ski and snowboard school, including 'certified' English speaking instructors.
Accommodation is available at 'The Tower', Risonaire and also the Club Med.
The Tower is a twin highrise building with colourful cladding and connected to restaurants and facilities via undercover walkways. Rooms are ideal for families and are large, and with ensuites. There are even some specially designed 'Mamarakuda' rooms for families with children aged 0-3 with facilities including special bedding, kids toys, high chair, baby bottle steriliser and baby friendly bathroom products.
