For the more adventurous, the backside of the mountain is an uncrowded paradise of over 1,900 acres of steep and deep, black and double black diamond runs.

The Silver Creek Lodge is located in the heart of Silver Star Mountain Village. Constructed in 1997 it consists of 69 fully furnished and equipped condominium units. Guests at the Silver Creek Lodge can enjoy open living areas, gas fireplaces and full kitchens.
All units have access to two shared roof top hot tubs and coin operated laundry. All units have a balcony, are non-smoking and do not allow pets. Silver Creek has complimentary wireless internet access throughout the building and cable TV in each unit. There are ski lockers and an exercise room beside the newly renovated (2011) lobby and front desk.
