About Gakuto Villa Hakuba

Gakuto Villa offers unique, modern accommodation in Hakuba, Nagano.  Only minutes away from some of the best ski slopes Japan has to offer, with 10 ski resorts within reach, there’s plenty of choice for your perfect winter adventure!

Gakuto Villas is the first contemporary western style development of its kind in the prestigious Wadano area of Hakuba, near the slopes of Happo One. It is a community of 12 uniquely crafted houses built to provide a distinctly modern and comfortable level of accommodation and service. Surrounded by the majestic Japanese Alps, Gakuto Villas is located in a quiet neighbourhood, yet it is minutes from the ski lifts and a leisurely stroll to a choice of restaurants, bars and onsens.

Gakuto Villas showcase a fusion of Western design and Japanese detailing, while blending in perfectly with its natural and traditional surroundings. The result is comfortable and chic accommodation in the idyllic setting of Hakuba. The warm modern styling combined with the views of the alpine forest, make this chalet a perfect retreat for a family vacation, a group of close friends, or a romantic getaway.

With large floor to ceiling windows in the open living and dining area, sunlight floods the rooms with warmth and natural light. After an exhilarating day on the slopes, relax in the villa curled up on the sofa next to the fireplace and enjoy the picturesque scenery beyond the windows.

Each villa is 100sqm and has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with spacious living and dining areas set over 2 floors. The villa fits up to 6 people comfortably with an extra bed and a sofa bed available upon request (extra charges apply). The kitchen is fully equipped for guests to make their own meals, and we also have traditional Japanese fare and western food available to order from around Hakuba.

Free wi-fi internet and English television channels are available in all villas. The villas include a flat screen LCD TV, DVD player, heated bamboo flooring, high ceilings and large windows, iPod dock, amenities, towels, and ethanol fireplace…… all just a few minutes walk from the slopes!
