About Perisher

The Perisher Village is located in the Kosciuszko National Park, a 35 minute easy drive from Jindabyne (when it snows the road is cleared to the main car-park). At a base of 1,720m above sea level, most of Perisher’s accommodation is on the snow. The resort’s highest ski lifted point sits at 2,034m.
Perisher (formerly Perisher Blue) is Australia and the Southern Hemisphere's largest resort which, covers four main mountain areas; Mt Perisher, Guthega, Blue Cow and Smiggin Holes. Perisher Valley is set on an enormous 1,245 hectares of skiable terrain over four mountain peaks, Perisher ski resort offers terrain of a standard and style to suit everyone - skier or boarder, beginner and professional alike.The resorts areas of Perisher Valley and Blue Cow are connected by the Skitube, with all four resort areas interconnected by ski trails and chairlifts. Altogether Perisher has a total of 47 lifts, a downhill skiable area of 1,245ha with 54ha of snowmaking area and 104km of marked cross country trails.
Accommodation is on offer in the villages of Perisher and Smiggins Holes and includes hotels, on snow lodges, ski in ski out accommodation as well as some apartments.

    Facts about Perisher

    Perisher is owned by the Vail Resorts Group, which means it is part of the EPIC Pass.If you are planning an international ski holiday to one of the other Vail owned resorts, such as Whistler, Vail or Heavenly Lake Tahoe, we recommend purchasing the Full EPIC Pass before you travel (for best prices purchase before the end of August). You will then have Perisher for the following season included in the price.

For overnight stays, you must park your vehicle at Bullocks Flat and take the ski tube to Perisher Terminal. Most hotels/lodges will include oversnow transfers, however private oversnow transfers to your lodge can be arranged with Hans Oversnow if neededAccommodation, facilities and ski in ski out access can also be found at Smiggins Holes. Parking is available at Smiggins.

    Salzburg Apartments offer the largest self contained properties available in Perisher and can comfortably accommodate ten people in the 4 bedroom apartment. Each fully self-contained apartment offers superb views of the ski slopes with either an open or enclosed balcony to relax on or perhaps you would prefer to lie in front of the open fire place! The property facilities include individual Jacuzzis/spa baths, saunas, boot room and ski room.

    Smiggins Hotel & Chalet is ideally situated on snow at the base of the Smiggins ski lifts. Smiggins has 9 ski lifts for beginner to intermediate skiers and snowboarders, including Zoe’s Carpet for the kids, and the Kaaten Triple Chair. The Link T-Bar provides direct access by either Telemark T-Bar or the Interceptor Quad Chair to Perisher, Blue Cow and Guthega ski areas.
